- bensyverson 6mo agoYou're probably significantly underselling the value of your own "good old software dev practices."
- LeCompteSftware 6mo agoI believe the point (which you seem to tacitly agree with) is that a young dev's time is much better spent reading and writing code "the old-fashioned way" vs chasing the new SOTA in AI-assisted development. A competent dev can basically master agentic development in a few months. But it takes years to become competent.
- aerhardt 6mo agoOh yea, I agree that building good software remains roughly as challenging as ever. I was asking if there was something about the “agentic” part in particular that was difficult.
