Controversial FISA program extended by House but only until April 30
- anigbrowl 7mo agoGotta say, there were 2 earlier posts, last night and this morning, reporting this news, but neither got any any votes or comments here. PEople on HN love complaining about FISA but are oddly mute when its up for renewal or supporting a rare win like this where it's not automatically rubber-stamped for another X years.
- treebeard901 7mo agoThe only thing people in power want more than money is more power. So if you ever hear they stopped authorizing these programs, it just means a more secret and powerful one replaced it behind the scenes.
- anigbrowl 7mo agoThis isn't a useful heuristic, it's jsut paranoid.
