White House to give US agencies Anthropic Mythos access, Bloomberg News reports
- yen223 6mo agoAre they no longer worried about the supply-chain threat that Anthropic poses?
- polski-g 6mo agoIt's probable that Dario realized Anthropic shouldn't be in charge of a silicon god, and it's best left to elected representatives. Maybe because he'd end up assassinated like SamA has been on deck for this week.
- natpalmer1776 6mo agoI'm not sure why this comment is dead. I don't really agree with what is stated here, mainly because I lack any faith in the critical thinking skills of most people mentioned in this post. But the comment itself is a statement of personal belief, does not contain any threats, isn't structurally inflammatory or otherwise presenting as being opposed to civil discussion. Vouched the comment, anyone who feels differently feel free to correct me as I'm genuinely interested in why this comment is dead.
- secretsatan 6mo agoLet’s hope mythos is all hype then
- neeeeeeal 6mo agoKind of cuts against their argument that Claude is a supply chain risk. Brilliant move by Dario in allowing USG access to this - will make it difficult for the political hacks to argue about security risks at trial.
- wajsG 6mo agoSOTA model will only kill 100 children instead of 160.
- casey2 6mo agoCars killed way more children
- qahka 6mo agoMaybe the Geneva convention should be updated to allow more generous quotas of collateral damage then. /s
- ok_dad 6mo agoSolving “cars killing kids” is a lot harder than solving “dropping bombs on schools killing kids”. With the latter, we simply stop doing it. We can’t just stop using cars right away.
- mandeepj 6mo agoThat line is suitable at X, not here!! While one was avoidable and unnecessary, and other can be improved!!
- cindyllm 6mo ago[dead]
- big_paps 6mo agoCancer kills way more people than murder… so what!
- wslh 6mo agoI imagine that you will need to use a giant budget for covering those codebases, and you can always run a longer and more expensive loop.
- avaer 6mo agoI wonder what kind of frightening new cyber weapons three letter orgs will develop with this. And who they will be used against. They say they're ensuring "guardrails", but to that I say lol as we wait for the next Snowden.
- applfanboysbgon 6mo agoI can't imagine there will ever be another Snowden. After seeing how whistleblowers are prosecuted by the government and villified by the public while literally nothing changes[1], who would throw their life away for that? [1] Actually, the situation has only gotten worse and worse.
- DANmode 6mo agoThere…have been multiple.
- UltraSane 6mo agoIf Mythos is really as good as Anthropic says it is there is no way the NSA isn't already using it.
