Ask HN: Which LLM model and agentic CLI are you using for local development?
I’ve been testing a handful of models the past few weeks, but I still haven’t settled on one yet…
I’m curious to see what models, their sizes, on what hardware, and which agentic tool people are using
- anonyfox 6mo agoMacbook air M5 32gb ram here. using oMLX as the runtime/server and right now the perceived best model is Devstral-Small-2-24B-Instruct-2512-4bit for me, within opencode.
