He’s the one guy Trump can’t fire though
- ElProlactin 6mo agoHe doesn't want to fire him. He wants to scapegoat him and make him unelectable in 28.
- dh2022 6mo agoGenuinely interested: why not? Thanks!
- wat10000 6mo agoThe Vice President is an elected official just like the President. He doesn’t work for the President and he’s not subordinate, he just has almost no power. The only way to remove a VP is death or impeachment. I suppose the President could induce death, but that’s not really firing per se.
- padjo 6mo agoHe could literally throw him under a bus and not suffer any legal consequences. It's probably 50/50 whether or not senate Republican would vote to impeach him after that.

- Epa095 6mo agoBecause he is the elected vice president, he answers to the people, not the president.
- __patchbit__ 6mo agoSome say he answers to Pete Thiel
- freddydumont 6mo agoVP is an elected official, not appointed by the president. President could sideline him, but his role in the senate cannot be removed except by impeachment.
- general1465 6mo agoLike Trump would not write an executive order to fire JD Vance.
- cosmicgadget 6mo agoHe could write an executive order to bring back disco and it'd have the same effect.
