- papsosouid 14y agoYeah, that is a hilarious attempt to misrepresent the situation. Notice how he pretends they did it "to strike back", when they actually did exactly what he wants (try to get a number from IANA) and they refused to give them one because "that's just VRRP but different, it doesn't deserve its own number". The right choice was taken away from them, all they could do is use a number that is either used already, or will be handed out later. They chose the least bad option of using the number of VRRP, which IANA claimed they were too similar to.
