- mike_hearn 6mo agoYes they were and it wasn't made up. The objection was that the number is gross but some of that money the EU chose to spend in the UK. But that's irrelevant to this point because the EU didn't spend any of that money on healthcare. It went on the commissions priorities and projects, not the NHS. So the claim that it could be spent on the NHS instead, but only on leaving, was correct.
