I'm seeing trails on Chrome 23. They go away if I switch tabs and return. So it's not specific to Firefox at least.

  I'm curious what OS and graphics drivers you are using. I've gotten a similar effect once in a blue moon while simply scrolling.

    This is Ubuntu 12.04 using the integrated graphics in the Intel i7 CPU/chipset. Never seen quite that effect before however.
