Ask HN: Did something change in how older HN links work?

Hi! I usually keep some HN tabs open, on discussions I like to follow. Often over days. However, today all these tabs, on reload, send me to the homepage instead of their discussion. I know the "more" states of the frontpage expire over time, but I thought the ?id=12345X were permanent? Do they expire too? Or is this temporary?
