All Xfce needs now, is a compositing manager with sync to vblank support to fix those nasty Nvidia tearing issues. Unfortunately the Xfce developers seem to be ignoring this.
- quarterto 14y agoYou can use Compiz in XFCE, which has reasonably good sync to vblank support.
- LukaD 14y agoI know there are quite a few compmgrs that have sync to blank e.g, Compiz, Kwin or Mutter, but they all come with a redicoulus amount of dependencies, which is why I'm avoiding those. I also tried cairo-compmgr but it's really buggy.
