It was probably deemed a relatively high-risk moment which they did not want to broadcast in case of failure like it was when the Challenger mission exploded.

- exitb 7mo agoStill an odd choice. It is what it is. It’s a fairly risky mission and they chose to go ahead with that. Yet they avert their eyes, like a child watching a scary scene in a movie. Like it’s somehow ok to actually risk lives of four people, but not ok to televise that.

- dryarzeg 7mo agoI certainly missed that one. Is it available somewhere recorded? If it is, can you please send a link to it? I'm sorry if I'm asking something stupid, it's just that I can't find anything like that and I also want to see this badly.
- Electricniko 7mo agoFor some reason the Kennedy Center one is saying not available right now, but this was the link for it if it returns: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NaJklsJonD4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NaJklsJonD4 The main broadcast is still up, with the ten minute countdown starting around 5 hours and 27 minutes into it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tf_UjBMIzNo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tf_UjBMIzNo
