- dlenski 7mo agoWhat even constitutes a "US-made" router? Does it have to be assembled in the US? Does it have to have its stock firmware developed in the US? Does the SoC have to be designed by a US company? Made in a US fab? I very much doubt that there are any consumer-level WiFi routers which would clear any of these bars, other than maybe "firmware developed in the USA."
- stop50 7mo agoAs far as i know the hardware production, owners of the company and software development must happen in the US
- orionblastar 7mo agoName me a few routers made in the USA. They are all foreign-made.
- Bender 7mo agoProtectli [1]. I have several of them. Best firewall / router I've ever owned. Not cheap but worth it for me. [1] - https://protectli.com/ https://protectli.com/
- dlenski 7mo agoThese look very nice indeed, but almost none of their models seem to have built-in WiFi. Even if they cost half as much, they'd be a non-starter for 99% of home users because of this.
- Bender 7mo agonone of their models seem to have built-in WiFi. They have modules for Wifi and LTE so people can pick and choose during customization. Even if they cost half as much, they'd be a non-starter for 99% of home users because of this. Inflation is indeed sucking money out of everyone's wallet.
