This will become default. Siri (new) and Gemini will eventually run simple tasks locally and only switch to cloud compute when necessary. Apple and Google then won't have to spend as much on their datacenters. I expect OpenAI, Anthropic, and other companies will attempt to do the same, but the OS manufacturers will have a step up.
