The worst thing you can think of is relatively wealthy people wasting their largely disposable income to pay much worse off people? Because some other even richer guy takes his cut?
- Tade0 7mo agoMain problem is that quite often it's not disposable income, but debt.
- 0x3f 7mo agoEven assuming that's true, I would think that it's probably still end-to-end positive, given just how poor the chat workers must be. It's a bit like how people bemoan sweatshops. Killing the sweatshops just punts those people back to something worse.
- Tade0 7mo agoPositive for maybe one side of the equation. That's not a recipe for a sustainable business model.
