- trvz 7mo agoThey're annoyed at people shamelessly publishing low quality crap. Calling it out is a way to raise standards back up.
- TyrunDemeg101 7mo agoThat is the way of the internet unfortunately. Instead of simply appreciating something, it's important to find a criticism and voice it. That way you're 'adding' to the conversation. I mean look back at HN classic posts like the initial Dropbox announcement and the classic: this is nothing more than a wrapper over rsync, etc.

- TyrunDemeg101 7mo agoThis may be true, but I don't believe it makes it any less valid. Perhaps the comment YOU made could also fall into that category? Pointing out a low-effort comment is ALSO a low-effort comment?
