Actually that's not right. Your rights are given by your duties. I don't think democracy is the best political solution, but it's practically the best we can hope for. But as far as we live in one, we must expose our opinion and vote. It's the only thing left. When you vote you are part of the society, you cast your decision with your co-citizens. PS: I'm italian, we lost our faith in democracy a lot ago.
