Copper demand outstrips supply, threatening electrification, industrial growth
- jleyank 7mo agoIf there's more than copper cladding, and even if that's all there is, get those pennies out of people drawers and jars -> recycling. They're not really worth carrying about, yet they contains metals that might be useful elsewhere.

- nacozarina 7mo agoIn 1987, Phelps-Dodge closed the Douglas AZ copper smelter to avoid $94M in upgrades for EPA compliance because copper was only $0.60/lb. A very expensive mulligan if you chart it.
