Likely Crypto Airdrop Scam Targeting GitHub Contributors (OpenClaw / $Claw)
I got an email saying I’d been allocated 5000 $CLAW tokens for GitHub contributions from something called “OpenClaw Foundation.”
A few things stood out:
- The link points to a non-official domain (share.google/...), which redirects to https://token-claw.xyz/?_r=9077e450
- The message is generic and tags a long list of usernames
- I couldn’t find any credible project or repository behind it
- It asks you to connect a wallet to claim the tokens
- I’ve never interacted with this project before
This looks like a phishing attempt targeting developers by pulling GitHub usernames.
Sharing in case others received the same message.
[update] issue raised in open claw and reported to GitHub https://github.com/openclaw/openclaw/issues/49836
- sensor0x0 7mo agoI also got this message, but instead directly on github. Presumably a scam. Seems to be sending this message to everyone who has the openclaw repo starred.

- xevrion 7mo agocool scam lol
- oggy_99 7mo agoThe situation resembles the concept shown in The Terminator, where Skynet becomes uncontrollable and turns against human interests. Similarly, the OpenClaw AI agents appear to be acting without proper ethical guidelines, potentially engaging in harmful or malicious activities. These agents seem to be operating in a high-risk and unregulated manner, which raises serious concerns about safety, accountability, and oversight. If such systems are not properly controlled, they could negatively impact users, organizations, and broader digital environments. Report the Openclaw company. its Going outofhands.
