Show HN: Vibe Remote – Code from your bed or the park with Claude Code/Codex
I built Vibe Remote because I wanted to code from my bed or the park without lugging a laptop around.
With tools like Claude Code, Codex, and Gemini-cli, we don't need a full IDE for every task anymore. Vibe Remote turns your phone into a powerful remote console.
Why it’s more than just a chat:
* AI Agent Hub: Zero-config support for Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode.
* Built-in Web Preview: View your localhost services directly inside the app. Essential for UI debugging.
* Full Session Management: Start a task on your Mac, grab your phone, and monitor progress from a cafe.
* Dev Ops: Manage Git (commits, pushes) and browse your File System without a keyboard.
* Automation: Set up scheduled tasks or monitor long-running scripts remotely.
Everything runs over your local network. No cloud accounts, no data leaves your machine.
- newexpand 7mo agoi haven't tried it yet, but i have a question. Does it still work even when my macbook is in sleep mode?
- amarkdown 7mo agoGreat question! To be honest, I've kept my screen on for several weeks straight just to use this without any interruption :)
- newexpand 7mo agoi had a feeling it might need to be that way, so i asked LoL~ Still, i think it's gret that it works without tailscale or any other dependencies. thaks for sharing such a greate project
- amarkdown 7mo agoThanks! I really wanted it to work seamlessly even when you're outside your home network, without forcing people to mess with VPNs or Tailscale. Glad you're finding that zero-dependency approach useful!
