FundersClub (YC S12) is hiring a full stack engineer

We're FundersClub. Between the 5 of us, we've been part of 2 different YC batches, and we've founded multiple companies that have either exited, are profitable, or are VC-backed and growing. We've developed everything from the gesture motion control software that now powers the Microsoft Kinect to Facebook's original fantasy sports games to the next gen touchscreen hardware now being designed into mass produced consumer electronic devices. Back then, we never thought we'd be building the world's premier marketplace for private company investing, literally a trillion dollar opportunity that is a core piece of the financial and innovation ecosystems. But our experiences founding companies, raising capital, and investing in startups as angels made us recognize that the existing system is broken. We're trying to change the way the world fundraises and invests by providing greater access to private company investing for investors and greater access to investors for deserving entrepreneurs and business owners. We're hiring a full stack engineer with an emphasis on backend. We work mostly with python/django. You should be as comfortable writing an API as you are consuming one. Although most of the work will be in the backend, you shouldn't be afraid to get your hands dirty with frontend development (HTML/JavaScript/CSS/JQuery). You should also be comfortable with linux administration for things like devops and installing packages and software related to running the backend. We move at startup speed and ship production level code daily. We believe in leveraging open source solutions, though having enough flexibility and creativity to solve problems with our own approach when appropriate. We believe in focused work and leveraging our limited time to accomplish extraordinary things while having fun together. We take periodic working vacations to work from new locations for a change of scenery. We like having dinner parties where we cook and share meals with members of our community. We go hiking, clubbing, wine tasting, running, and more. To make everyone's lives a little easier, we also cover your laundry/dry cleaning, maid/house cleaning, health insurance, all meals at the office, parking or public transit, gym membership, and more.
