I prefer "works for you if it works at all" to "works for the OS vendor if it works at all".
- wolvesechoes 8mo ago5 years on GNU/Linux exclusively (no backup Windows installation for gaming), 2 years on tweaked/debloated Win 11. I don't see much difference in agency, yet noticed reduction in maintenance time and debugging. On the other hand I ceased to view my laptop as an expression of sovereignty and autonomy. My autonomy is being threatened far more seriously outside my PC.
