How can you be sure, when no one ever knows it is there to examine it?

  It's not like a warrant can be issued ipso fact and backdated, right? That'd be gross misconduct of justice and surely, no judge would stoop so low. /s Seriously though. If you trust the law enforcement that much, why even require a warrant from a judge at all. May as well go to the Soviet model of search warrants being issued by the district attorney.
