Why I Stopped Using Spotify

- ivanppp 8mo agoBuying CDs isn't really the point. The point is choosing deliberately. With Spotify I was spending the same money every month but had zero control over where it went, most of it flowing to artists I never chose to listen to. A CD purchase is a conscious decision: this artist, this album, my money. The listening habits follow from that intentionality, not from the physical format.
- ironcow 8mo agoOnce I found out I couldn't even loop a song anymore on mobile without paying. I knew it was time to move on.
