Spaced Repetition Algorithm: A Three‐Day Journey from Novice to Expert

- vunderba 8mo agoNice article but small note: >You might be thinking "If spaced repetition is so effective, why isn't it more popular?" I might have thought that 30 years ago - but I can't remember the last time I used a flashcard app (phone, Desktop, etc) that didn't include SRS as the default algorithm. These days the new hotness is FSRS [1] which Anki uses. - _j3xk 8mo agoYou are right, I integrated FSRS for langikal.app. Unfortunately, they had some refactor last year that broke the API. This is why I'm not using the latest.
- hallucinate 8mo agoI love the idea behind Spaced Repetition, and especially incremental reading. Reading incrementally (https://supermemo.guru/wiki/Incremental_reading https://supermemo.guru/wiki/Incremental_reading) is the best way to retain information and helps you read faster too! I didn't see any app out there that had a modern user interface with good UX (SuperMemo is notorious for it's hard to grok interface). So I made my own https://github.com/melpomenex/incrementum-tauri https://github.com/melpomenex/incrementum-tauri and demo here: https://readsync.org https://readsync.org
