- ThrowawayR2 8mo agoIt says "Show HN is for something you've made that other people can play with." so it's not really an invitation to post for-profit product launch ads. Most Show HN projects that gain traction are personal projects. In fact, the tips page (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=22336638 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=22336638) that's linked from the Show HN guidelines directly says "Drop any language that sounds like marketing or sales. On HN, that is an instant turnoff. Use factual, direct language. Personal stories and technical details are great.
