The new website of the C++ standard
- lmm 14y agoDoes it have the actual standard there, or do you still have to pay $$$ for a copy?
- pfortuny 14y agoAFAIK the fact that it is a Standard does not mean it is free (it is not an RFC)...
- _stephan 14y agoSee http://isocpp.org/std/the-standard http://isocpp.org/std/the-standard
- davidcuddeback 14y ago$30 for official. Free for "almost official" [1]. I have no idea what that means. Here's a direct link to the free PDF ("almost official"): http://www.open-std.org/jtc1/sc22/wg21/docs/papers/2012/n3337.pdf http://www.open-std.org/jtc1/sc22/wg21/docs/papers/2012/n333... Edit: That direct link is actually to a January 2012 version. The link in _stephan's comment is the download page. There's also a Github repo: https://github.com/cplusplus/draft https://github.com/cplusplus/draft [1] http://isocpp.org/blog/2012/08/where-to-get-the-standard-and-drafts http://isocpp.org/blog/2012/08/where-to-get-the-standard-and...

- ocharles 14y agoRight tool, right job? I also don't see anything on that website saying "C++ is the right choice for any problem domain".
- igul222 14y agoKeep in mind that PHP itself is implemented in C ;) But seriously, should it matter? I'd be worried if the website was written in C++. It's a good thing that they can recognize that C++ isn't the right tool for the job.
- senorcastro 14y agoYep, looks like a C++ developer built that site.
- Dirlewanger 14y agoNew huh? That logo made me think we were in 2002.
- antidoh 14y agoThat logo makes me think of C++.
- hollowonepl 14y agoIt's great place, although I'd love to see more content that is not only MS and Visual Studio oriented.
