Curiously, why in the world wouldn't Comcast have insurance on equipment the rent out? Sure, primary coverage may/should be with the renter, but why in the worl

Curiously, why in the world wouldn't Comcast have insurance on equipment the rent out? Sure, primary coverage may/should be with the renter, but why in the world won't they have secondary coverage in the event of total loss (including death of the renter, etc.) Could it simply be that at the rates they charge, a box is easily paid off in a couple of years, and any additional rental fees are pure profit?
