Show HN: Tailwatch – Hierarchical event monitor with push notifications
- overthinkerer 7mo agoI had multiple agents running across different machines, some finishing and sitting idle for way too long before I noticed. I just wanted them to behave like microwaves, beep when they are done. So I built Tailwatch. You post events with curl, see them in the dashboard, and get notifications everywhere. You log in with GitHub, the app installs as a PWA, I tried to make friction minimal.
- anwar_nairi 7mo agoThere is so much potential for use cases like being notified when a scripts finishes to run, I also see a lot of great use cases in IoT... congratulations on building this very polished dashboard! By the way as this is a PWA I added it to https://korru.app https://korru.app
- overthinkerer 7mo agoYeah, other messaging platforms like Slack can do notifications, but the setup always feels like a chore. I feel like this can be generally useful, just log in with GitHub, curl and you are already getting notified. The code needs a bit of cleanup, maybe I have to add documentation to make self-hosting easier. Generally, there are a lot of places for improvement.
