- krapp 7mo agoI'm sorry but it does not very much still exist. Otherwise, Congress would be doing something other than praying for the Anointed One and his holy war. I'm not obeying in advance, but I'm not giving lip service to normality, either.
- jwkpiano1 7mo agoYou are. Congress could stop this right now if they wanted. That they aren’t is of course a problem, but that’s very different than saying the system of checks and balances doesn’t exist. The latter is giving the executive power it doesn’t have.
- karmasimida 7mo agoYou should respect the government’s choice. It is elected after all
- jwkpiano1 7mo agoThe executive doesn’t pass laws. Congress created the Department of Defense. Only Congress can rename it. The executive being elected is irrelevant to this point. The Constitution actually matters.
