I'm assuming you're in the EU or UK, Apple is required by law to not include a power adapter:

In the US they provide one in the box free of charge.
- whywhywhywhy 7mo agoDoes the law say they have to charge for it.
- NetMageSCW 7mo agoNo, but the law doesn’t say they have to give it away for free.
- pvtmert 7mo agoNope, they are required to have an option to opt-out from adapter. They choose to charge for one! https://9to5mac.com/2025/10/16/no-the-eu-didnt-ban-apple-from-including-a-charger-with-the-m5-macbook-pro/ https://9to5mac.com/2025/10/16/no-the-eu-didnt-ban-apple-fro...
- bombcar 7mo agoThe option to opt out is effectively the same as charging to include one, unless you include the variation where you can opt out and pay the same price to not get one.
- whywhywhywhy 7mo agoYou know how we know its not that because its 3,599 without the power adapter and 3,678 with it which of those prices seems like the intentional cost of the machine
