Sorry I thought the Girard Thiel Vance timeline courtesy of Yeats https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/43290/the-second-coming https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/43290/the-second-comi... was common knowledge here. I will see myself out now.
- tim333 7mo agoYou mean "Things Hidden: The Life and Legacy of René Girard | Full Length Documentary"? Youtube is full of Girard stuff and it's not clear which of the many you were thinking of.
- polotics 7mo agoYes Stanford documentary there is one.
- fragmede 7mo agoExplain it to me like I'm 5, please?
- polotics 7mo agoAt 5 you should not be told about mimetic violence, you would not understand.
- tim333 7mo agoLife doesn't have an obvious purpose so people tend to pick up on what others around them are into, so may be into social justice, or greed is good, or islam or christianity or whatever. Then they tend to clash, fight and blame the other group for their problems. Kids don't really do it but it's why dad has to go bomb the islamists or jihad the infidels or similar.
