Oh common. I was playing my Magic the Gathering card that was a red card and showed a red'ish moon from the The Dark MtG edition in 1994. And that card was called... Blood Moon! TFA says: "John Hagee appears to have popularized the term in his 2013 book" TFA's title isn't "The term 'Blood Moon' wasn't invented until 2013" but simply "The Blood Moon", don't know why it became that on HN. Also site seems to be a bit /.'ed now.
