how does this compare to just running Lighthouse + security header checks via CLI? I currently use Claude Code to run similar audits before deploying my SaaS and it catches most of these. What does Shipcheck give me that a scripted approach doesn't?
- fiynraj 7mo agoIf you already have a good scripted workflow with Lighthouse + custom checks, Shipcheck will overlap with some of that. The main difference is it bundles a bunch of launch checks in one place like SEO metadata, sitemap/robots, security headers, link crawling (broken links/redirect loops), basic accessibility/mobile checks, etc. Lighthouse alone doesn’t cover a lot of those. So for someone with a custom pipeline, it’s mostly a quick external sanity check before launch. For founders who don’t run CLI tools, it replaces stitching together multiple audits.
