Feelings need chemicals - dopamine, seratonin, oxytocin.
Our meat substrate has these, silcon doesn't.
While mirrors, TVs, Tiktoks, LLMs can evoke emotions in us, that's not sufficent to assign feelings, consciousness or souls to that substrate.
- JhonOliver 7mo agoYes we have feelings, but what makes those feelings real? If we simulate those chemicals on silicon, what says those aren't real? I want to believe my feelings are real, but I can't proove it
