We are all assuming Anthropic can elect not to do a deal with the Pentagon, and put conditions on it. But Hegseth and Trump are abusing federal powers at a rapid clip. I'm guessing Anthropic would regret any deal with that administration, and could lose control of their technology. (Stanford Research Institute originally limited their DoD exposure, and gained a lot of customers as a result.)
