Just be careful that 'better' doesn't just mean 'written by me'. I've seen that a lot too
- rglynn 8mo agoMore often than not I've seen this be the case. Refactoring as "rewrite using my idiomatic style, so that I can understand it", which does not scale across the team so the next engineer does the same thing.
