Interesting. I actually had a human translator do the french translation because I didn't trust deepl/LLMs on certain languages. He was Belgian though. Thanks for the feedback, I will certainly consider it - I don't speak french myself.
- reddalo 8mo agoSpeaking of translations, the Italian translation seems fine but it uses English Capitalization of Titles, but that doesn't work in Italian. It should be "Pronto a trovare il tuo ricambio?", not "Pronto a Trovare il Tuo Ricambio?".
- willy__ 8mo agoThank you!
- Spixel_ 8mo agoI agree with them, the French translation is way too casual/aggressive compared to the English text. I wouldn't trust this website. It comes across as influencer speech targeted to edgy young people with a touch of "how do you do, fellow kids?". Pretty sure a modern LLM would yield a better one.
- RebootStr 7mo agoThe german translation is also slightly off. E.g. instead of: "Poste ein Foto und lass die Community dir passende Angebote schicken" you would probably write: "Poste ein Foto und lasse dir passende Angebote von der Community schicken" And you do not send an "Angebot" to a doorstep. A German would interpret this as the offer in written form send to the doorstep (not the part as probably intended)
