Why should PL researchers care only about languages and lot about language usage? Only about programs and not how to create them? That seems extremely ivory tower to no good.
- fauigerzigerk 14y agoI believe they do care about that, but it shouldn't limit their thinking too much. For instance, there could be a wonderful model of computing that no current machine can efficiently implement. Kind of like Lisp in the 1950s.
