Hrm, yeah, there are alternatives here. (Not in Java-land...other places.)

You really should look into Clojure.
- geoka9 14y agoWait, isn't easy access to Java libraries one of the premises of Clojure? In that case Java's dependency issues still apply?
- codewright 14y agoYeah but then you get to use Leiningen, not Maven. Leiningen is manna from heaven.
