The people are part of the problem. They're largely fine with all this.

- Gud 8mo agoThe people are brainwashed by corporate controlled media. In a functioning democracy, there is counter balance against the oligarchs.
- JCattheATM 8mo agoDemocracy has no built in controls to stop oligarchs becoming a thing, and the people were a problem in the first place as they voted against measures that would prevent them. See all the people voting for Reagan, for example.
- Gud 8mo agoThe US is only nominally democratic
- JCattheATM 8mo agoWith the population being what it is, it doesn't really matter.
