Is an agent running on a desktop, with access to excel, word, email and slack going to replace Saas?
Add in databases, browser use, and the answer could be yes
This could be the most disruptive software we have seen
- stcredzero 8mo agoWhat I want to know: Is the OpenClaw = Open Source aspect secure?
- koakuma-chan 8mo agoIf your SaaS is a CRUD with a shitty UI in React then yes
- mikert89 8mo agoIf the ai model gets better, more and more Saas can be replaced with an agent with an excel sheet
- BloondAndDoom 8mo agoTo be fair if you are not going interface with your SaaS via GUI it can be one big API for all I care. I’ll just chat and automate to it anyway.
- oblio 8mo agoFor people like you: except for the obvious greed, what's the end game? Are you making anyone's life better? Who will even pay you once most jobs are automated? At best, it's a defensive move: make money, get hard capital and seek rent after most of society has collapsed?
- koakuma-chan 8mo agoI mean, he's right, it's easier for users when you can throw AI at the thing, instead of manually clicking through the UI.
- BloondAndDoom 8mo agoI don’t know how your rhetoric is any different than saying how scribes find a new job now we invented printing.
- oblio 8mo agoIn your mind scribes disappearing, probably 0.1% of the population, is the same thing as up to 50% of the population losing their jobs? Deindustrialization happened 20-40 years ago and the affected regions are still hit hard. Also, you're making my point. Utterly heartless.
- esafak 8mo agoIf it replaces SaaS it will replace you too; how else will you collaborate?
