Huh?
- kjkjadksj 9mo agoPeople seem to think LLMs killing the cs career means companies will still pay senior salaries to shepherd agentic LLM style development. I think it is the senior that is the dinosaur here. As we speak cs curriculums are changing to teach people to cruch along with ai. The next batch of juniors will be taking these jobs. There won’t be seniors anymore at least at the salaries we’ve come to assume with that. The skill is getting removed from the profession and replaced with a framework with a far lower barrier of entry.

- kjkjadksj 9mo agoGlueing the junk together is what the bengaluru office is for. You don’t need bay area comp for that.

- lazide 8mo agoI have never met an offshore team which can untangle something that complicated, but hey I’m sure they exist somewhere! Typically, after thinking a bit, I’ve been able to replace hundreds of lines of AI ‘slop’ (literally) with 1-2 lines. But the right 1-2 lines.
