That is a great counter example I never considered
- rchaud 8mo agoFB is what it is because of advertising revenue. Google already had a giant advertising business where jettisoning Google+ made no difference to their bottom line.
- b112 8mo agoPlus was an abysmal failure though. Had it succeeded even somewhat, it would have taken some or much of FB's ad coin, and added it to itself. EG, their massive failure is why it meant nothing. The potential market was huge.
- AbstractH24 8mo agoWe've yet to figure out if AI Chatbots are winner-take-all or not. Let alone if AI in general is.
