Show HN: PaperLab – Markdown editor that deliberately does less
Hi HN,
PaperLab is a Markdown editor that deliberately does less.
No plugins. No AI. No "productivity features". No collaboration.
Just: write → save locally → sync when you want.
Why? Because Notion/Obsidian/Roam became operating systems when all I needed was a notepad.
Built with IndexedDB for instant startup and optional cloud sync for multi-device.
Try it: https://paperlab.ink https://paperlab.ink
It's intentionally boring. That's the point.
- albertkag 8mo agoDid you use only syncing, without storing data on the server side?
- kyleslight 8mo agoData is stored on server for sync, but local copy is the primary. Server is just for syncing between devices. E2E encryption coming soon.
- kyleslight 8mo agoUpdate: E2E encryption is live now. When enabled, documents are encrypted on your device before syncing. The server only stores encrypted data that we can't decrypt.
