Lmao did they really say it's null-key encrypted?
Unfortunately a very realistic depiction of how many of the brands advertising their security the strongest often have the most ridiculously broken security (flock)
- StilesCrisis 9mo agoI rewatched recently. That's what he says all right.
- parl_match 9mo agoHe also says "aflongaflongkong". https://youtu.be/0ukMXA0SJaM https://youtu.be/0ukMXA0SJaM
- OrangeMusic 9mo agoHe says "What's wrong with a phone call?".
- seg_lol 9mo agoThey should have used base64 encryption.
- CobrastanJorji 9mo agoThere are performance concerns with base64. Hardware-assisted null-key encryption offers security that's a non-strict superset of base64 encryption and with superior performance.
- hn_acc1 9mo agonull-key encryption is write-once, read-never, so you don't have to cache it.
- HiPhish 9mo agoHow about ROT13? Ideally applied twice for twice the encryption.
- CrazyStat 9mo agoROT13 is cheap enough that you can afford to apply it many more times. I use one million iterations to store passwords securely.
- mixmastamyk 9mo ago640k oughtta be enough for anybody.
- foobarchu 9mo agoMd5 encryption would be far superior.
- rightbyte 9mo agoI mean it is technobabble but in some way it is also poetic.
- padjo 9mo agoThe Nolan Batman movies are absolutely risible in retrospect. It's hard to believe how seriously everyone took them back then.
- simmerup 9mo agoThey’re good entertainment, not a documentary haha
- pc86 9mo agoNot a single person in the world took any of them "seriously." They're blockbuster movies about a comic book.
- padjo 9mo agoHah. People absolutely took them seriously and still do. They are pitched as if they're serious important art about issues. People discussed it like it was King Lear.
- culi 9mo agoI mean, one actor took their role so seriously they locked themselves up in hotel room for a month in isolation to prepare for their role as Joker. Many people in film took it seriously. Just because a piece is fictional or imaginative doesn't mean it can't be taken seriously
- reaperducer 9mo agoLmao did they really say it's null-key encrypted? You know movies aren't real life, don't you?
- simmerup 9mo agoWait until he sees the main character is a super hero
- selcuka 9mo agoBatman is technically not a super (as in superhuman) hero, though. He's just rich and determined.
- testdelacc1 9mo agoWait till he sees a billionaire sacrificing himself for others.
- butlike 9mo agoTechnically not a super hero. He's whatever Gotham needs him to be
- OrangeMusic 9mo ago"Null key" is technobabble, which I appreciate more than an actual real world technology reference which is wrong or gets outdated.
