- SanDiegoSun 9mo agoIncorrect, newer GLP's upregulate metabolism and increase insulin sensitivity by acting as agonists on GIP and Glucagon receptors. Please don't comment on pharmacodynamics without a solid understanding of the underlying mechanisms.
