  It's "jive" dude, as in jive turkey. I've watched and read a number of articles on how using your brain keeps it working well. Wow. Thanks modern medical science, duh.

Using your brain does keep it in better shape than if you don't use it, so you got that part right. But you should have read the rest of the article, the part where it says you can't stop the decline - you can just slow it down.
