One thing I’m still trying to understand is whether trust is even the right starting point.
What I keep seeing is that identity creates audience pressure from employers, social circles, public image, or institutions which makes people perform instead of think out loud. Even pseudonyms often turn into personas once there’s reputation to maintain.
The question I'm exploring is whether removing identity and permanence can empower people to be more raw and unfinished in public, not to avoid responsibility, but to speak without constantly optimizing for how it will be perceived later.
Curious how others here think about that trade-off.
