Why post-Soviet nostalgia is rational: death rates, shock therapy, and elites
- drysine 8mo agoI know people who feel nostalgic about 90s and it's time of freedom and opportunity for them, but for me it's the time of poverty, crime and extreme stress when two father's friends died from heart attacks while in their prime.
- mridlll 8mo agoYeah, in no way saying they were a blanket better period but it is striking for a good while how bad the baseline life detoriated and some of it is sociological where you actually could not see someone doing much more better than you as well
