Satya Nadella decides Microsoft needs an engineering quality czar
- reify 8mo agoYears ago we used to call them sat navs, those little gadgetty thingy's with mappy things on them. I never used one. I have a rather big brain that can look at a paper map and remember the route, Its not that difficult. anyway. I digress. So this guy with a similar sounding name as a Sat nav. Sat nad! I keep seeing the same photo in the news of him squeezing a ball or round object with his hands. I think this is a freudian slip of great magnitude. He is trying to emulate squeezing more money out of investors for his fantasy project. Have you noticed they all have shiny polished faces at that company. and they still talk the same bollocks.
- fuzzfactor 8mo ago>Nadella’s post doesn’t say why Microsoft needs someone to focus on engineering quality at this time. I think it goes without saying . . .
- ThrowawayR2 8mo agoComedy gold. Of course, Nadella will never admit that dismantling the test discipline at MS was his own boneheaded mistake. Mostly likely he'll just double down on what already wasn't working by putting even more pressure on developers to "ensure quality", unfortunately for them.

- tim-tday 8mo agoHow about less AI slop?
- mruniverse 8mo agoWe got rid of QA engineers a few years ago. I think some VP will hear what Nadella is doing and start their innovative initiative to start hiring QA engineers.
